CHATSWORTH: THE EVOLUTIONS OF A FAMILY’S TREASURE HOUSE, ITS LANDSCAPES AND COLLECTIONS and “DEBO” Simon Seligman Wednesday 21 November 2018

Simon Seligman lives in the Peak District and worked for the 11th and 12th Dukes of Devonshire and their duchesses for 19 years, and came to know the place intimately.  We learn how 16 generations of the family have contributed to the house and gardens we see today, and especially the influence of "DEBO", the youngest of the famous Mitford sisters, wife of the 11th Duke of Devonshire , who died in 2014.
